The Liberté Legacy Foundation provides scholarships to post-secondary students in British Columbia who have demonstrated leadership and an entrepreneurial spirit in advocating for free enterprise and a free society at university campuses and in their communities. The Foundation also supports students through mentoring and networking opportunities.
The Liberte Legacy Foundation was founded in 2014 by former Simon Fraser University (SFU) students who formed friendships around the creation of an alternative student newspaper called "Liberte." This entrepreneurial, student-run newspaper offered fellow students a different point-of-view: it supported and celebrated the benefits of a free and open society and a free enterprise-oriented economy.
The Liberte Legacy Foundation is a registered charity which offers financial support to free enterprise-oriented students who are leaders in their campuses and communities. The Liberte Legacy Foundation is independent and non-partisan. Its funding comes solely from the donations of individuals and businesses who support the Foundation's vision.
The Liberte Legacy Foundation offers students an opportunity to learn more about the benefits of free enterprise and a free society by providing financial support to students who are leaders in their communities. It also provides opportunities for mentorship of student leaders who represent the future of free enterprise.
